I have an older computer that has recently gotten very loud.

It has:
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All
Video Card: XFX PVT88PYDF4 GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP
Memory: Crucial Ballistix 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) === something else is in it now a newer version of crucial they sent me

I had a lot of bad luck with this pc after ordering the parts and putting it together back in 2008. The ram always seemed to be the issue - it would blue screen a lot - and I had the ram replaced by crucial. Since then one of the new ram sticks has died and I have only 1 2GB stick in it. So it has really been struggling. In an effort to bring it back to life I am ordering some new ram for it and would like confirmation that the ram I am ordering will work in this motherboard. Also the video card fan has gotten crazy loud - it did this once before when new and they sent me a new one but I'm sure that would cost money now. I no longer play games on this obviously so any recommendations on a new quieter card (I do convert mkv's to m4v's from time to time but on my laptop only because this one can't handle it)? Or is it easy to replace this fan with something quiet that is aftermarket?
