I have an old laptop that's not much use for much, but I have Windows 2000 running (extremely cut-down) on it and I want to make it a Walltop (basically a laptop in a picture frame, google for it).
Anyway, here's the original guy's approach:

However, he uses Linux (which I'm not too familiar with the guts of, no flamewars please) but all I want to do is create a simple script that I can launch on startup that calls irfanview, starts a slideshow, and kills the mouse pointer, just as he does. Problem is I'm no good at this stuff... any ideas please?
We all have to start somewhere and where better than to learn from experts
