ok im making a quick website on a report ive done and i want to put a popup on it that says all your files on your computer have been deleted to scare my teacher me and him joke around alot and i want him to think it really happened without it really happening

does anyone know how to do it ?

So basically a simple warning box that is timed or activated with a move of the mouse or something like that.....

AFIAK, its pretty easy to do. You would use javascript.. With more details I could provide a script to do such a task, but need to know exact hiw you would want it setup (i.e. based on a timer or movement)...

pretty new to this so don't laugh

but if i have it already written in html could i just add the java script at the top or something with it ?

i would probally just want it to come on once he got to the site

take a peak at some of the examples/tutorials for javascript on the net..

Why would we laugh mate? I dont know any javascript experts, its one of those things that you might use a bit of now and again (like xml) but you probably don't have the time or opportunity to become an expert in it.
