Here's what I'm trying to do:

We have a single windows form displaying a sort of "IDE" with file navigation and selection capabilities. We import an HTML file to be edited by our application to include speech tagging automatically.

We have a tabbed panel which we want to swap between viewing the HTML source, and a HTML preview which uses iexplore.exe to invoke internet explorer through the application.

Currently we're trying to use a "proof-of-concept" C# project someone developed which allows viewing of HTML pages, but not without its fair share of bugs.

So, the question is this: how to invoke/use internet explorer through a windows form? we know it's possible, as other applications use internet explorer within their interface (HTMLKit as an example). how they hook into windows, we don't know...

Any ideas, suggestions would be appreciated!

The way Internet Explorer works, is there are a collection of .DLL files that comprise the base IE core. The actual browser is IEXPLORE.EXE as you know. I'm not sure how the hook is done. You may want to stroll through the MS web site and find a SDK for IE.

This may be the only way to do it. :)
