I'm making my first webpage and I want to link to a directory rather than an html file, so that when the page is linked, it displays the directory name rather than the html file name.

e.g.:

Code:
<a href="/directory/">

as opposed to

<a href="/directory.html">

I would have tried to search, but I really can't think of any queries that would turn up relevant results..

Thanks a lot.

If you are running Apache you just need to set IndexOptions accordingly

I'm simply working off a free webhost. Is there any low-fi method?
