I've got cable internet and have been using it for a month now. I enjoy the speeds and will probably never go back to dial up, but the problem is that recently the connection has been really really slow. Its so slow that it's getting beaten by my dial up modem! What the!?! I've already ran Adware, Spybot and Norton Antivirus 2004 and got rid of all the junk, but its still so freakin slow. All network drivers are updated and there are no hardware confilcts. Anybody have any clue what the problem is?

What are your connection specs?

Do you by chance have something like eMule running with unconstrained uploadng and clogging up the upload bandwidth?

Go to http://www.dslreports.com/stest.
See if its actually a problem on your PC.
Run it from a few servers - some are more busy then others and will generate different results.
