Loads of people have this trouble. Try to download the latest frivers and are you using a combination of 2 brands of devices by any chance?

Are you using the client that came with the adapter or are you just using Windows to connect to the router?
Windows XP doesn't do a great job of staying connected.

I found that having WAP Enables dissconnected a wireless connection a lot in XP. So try turing off WAP if it is on and see fi that helps.

signal strength. go buy an antenae from your local comp shop. i picked up a 6 db for 16$ and it solved the problems. i put it on my comp and not the router so my network wouldnt be available to everyone in my apartment complex. ive picked up 9 wireless networks with the antenae. 3 of wich are set to the defaults. i allways have a wireless connection :P
good luck
