BitTorrent network tie-ups..
Seems after running bitTorrent for long enough to make dozens of connections both up and down I lose all bandwidth. Normally this is expected but it becomes an issue that even after I have killed the program(bittorrent) I have no bandwidth still. Can't surf the web or stream music for hours after the download/uploads ended unless I reboot both the computer and power cycle DSL. Only then do I get full service back and fast. Where is the bottleneck?
Intolerance is a disease, whether sexual, religious or racial, that we all must fight on a daily basis.

The bottleneck is your ISP throttling your link cos you're using filesharing software. Recent government legislation is forcing the ISPs to show they are doing something to discourage filesharing, this is what you've fallen prey to. There's not a lot you can do really.
On a sidenote this site does not agree with filesharing and you may actually find yourself being told to stop filesharing. That's what I'm gonna do now: STOP FILESHARING!!
