dual boot issues

Postby dmid94 » Mon Jun 07, 2010 3:08 pm

I am having connectivity issues with my latest build; it is a core I7 on an EVGA X58 mobo. I lost one of the 2 onboard ethernet ports in a lightning storm a week ago. The machine can boot to 2 different drives, 1 with vista and one with windows 7. Upon switching to the vista boot for a short time, it now will not connect to internet on the win 7 or primary boot. I have tried several things including a pci nic card and reinstalling drivers on the win 7 boot. It connects fine to nic card or remaining onboard port on vista.
any ideas?

You need to setup your network within Win 7 for it to hook up (Home or public network). Otherwize your built in protection will not let you out on the LAN or WAN.
