Ok I have a major problem. The last IT guy quit but didn't leave the password to the server. So is there any way to recover the password for the server. I trying to replace all the old PCs with the new ones. Is there any way to allow the new pcs to access the server files without accessing to the server. There was two ideas that I watch to shoot out and see if anybody else think that it is workable. One way I was thinking was using the old pc HD and putting into the new pc. The other way I was thinking was backing up the old HD information and restore to the new pc HD. Does either one of those way would work??? The old pcs spec are all over the place, from P1 to P4 but they all us Windows XP. The new pc will be Duo Cores. Please help me.

Unfortunately there is no password support here.... :( You should contact the IT guy for that - if he refuses to help, start the legal process...

That depends on how that backup was made. If it too is protected with a password you will have to put the server harddisk in one of the new PCs, trya and access it to backup the data, then reinstall it back in the server machine and reinstall the server software from scratch...
