Potential threats!!

Postby Pette Broad » Fri Dec 12, 2003 6:41 pm

Hey, just checked the O/C stats page and saw to my horror a couple of teams have started to close in on us. There's a few more behind us who are also getting close to our output. Perhaps we need to initiate a recruiting drive?

I'm hoping to upgrade some of my folding computers soon! :D

I've also told others about F@H, and, of course, I told them to join our team!

Great, I've persuaded my daughter to start folding once she gets her XMas present, a new computer :)

Did you take a bit of time to look at the two teams closing in on us. Our daily production is around 1,800 points and those two teams have a daily production of around 75 points. They'll catch up to us.....in about 5 years.

Seriously, there are currently no threats behind us right now. We only have to worry about getting ahead of pcmech and carnagge.

Yes, I did notice that :) , but I've been watching those two teams for several days and they have been increasing their output considerably. I'll keep my eye on their stats for a while. They certainly won't stop us making the top 100 though. We also seem to be falling away from PCMech and Carnagee at a much greater rate. Hopefully just a glitch.

EDIT, I did notice we have a new member whose name I'm not going to mention here, for obvious reasons :D

Cheers,

Pete

No, it's not a glitch. Our production has decreased considerably of late as well as our active members. We are down to 44 from 50 last week.

Well, we have several members that were folding that are not anymore and some members that just turned in 1 or 2 WU's and quit. OC stats says our active members number is 44, but I think it's lower than that. But, even with the decrease in active members, we have good enough daily production to get us to 100. It's just going to take a while.

It's been a revolving door since day one. I've heard all kinds of reasons why people quit. It takes some perserverence. Which brings up a point that's been overlooked. We have some team members that obviously don't have the resources at their disposal that a lot of us do , that have really hung in there, found ways to contribute and never givin up. One that comes to mind is Cain, and there are several others. I think they deserve a lot of credit.
