Tough WU's

Postby Southwind25 » Thu Dec 11, 2003 10:51 am

I was just looking at the stats pages and it looks to me like we all are getting the tough, grind 'em out WU's. There are lots of zeros after names that usually produce pretty good #'s. I know I sure have been the last few days. Lots of 2500's and tinkers. Is this my imagination or all of you getting them?

I've been getting almost all 2500's lately. I'm crunching a 250 right now that is worth 60 points.

Mostly had 2500's for the few weeks or so. Had a couple of 30 point 250's from the 900 series (not listed on the current work unit page....), no (s)tinkers though....

2500s yes, and the 1000 series are REALLY tough. Worse then tinkers they are.

Actually, I wouldn't mind doing the 400 ones all the time. Gives me some free time between uploads, which I have to do manually :)

Just got my first 2500. Will keep the midnight oil burning on that one. All the rest have been 400s and 250s that get done pretty fast and one 500 that took a long time.

Just got another of them stinkers, p683_TZ2_NAT_EXP to be precise. Taking 25 minutes to complete 1% means this beauty is gonna take 2500 minutes, or 41.67 hours to complete the unit. I'm not sure but I think I've had this one before. I'm sure you remember me whinging about all the extra hours for a lousy 9 extra point. God is having a laugh right now but I'm not giving in. I will prevail and complete this WU!

Got my first 2500 last week, since then I done 3 of them. They seem to go fairly fast for me, the ones I don't like are the Tinkers. I am currently working on a 2500 and just finished a 500 which took about 20 hrs to complete. At least it took me over my first 1000 points! 8)

I've been getting mostly 2500s lately, although I've seen a few smaller ones. My Celeron 366s which fold 24/7 have mostly been folding G@H units (although I've got one of the 366s running an F@H unit to see if it can complete it before the time limit).
