I have a Badge design set up.....for my computer company.....lets have a competition for a badge design for the motherboards. org folding team. Best design wins a set of free badges and a T shirt with the design and I'll throw in 2 sticks of crucial PC3200 RAM.....anyone else willing to throw in a prize?

All entries please post your designs or a link to your design in this thread.

I will run this competition for 1 month from September 11th 2003 and my company will bare all costs of badge printing T shirt printing and shipping to the winner.

Smurf pimp, Tulatin, Aussie, Default_Dave, evasive, len444 and Southwind25 can be the judges. (and ofcorse I will have the final say heh :) )

Hehe that brings up a point, I have to decide if judges are elidgable to win the prize.......I guess theres no harm in that. U can only vote for yourself once and like I said I'll be the final judge so go for it. :D

I believe that the vote of the judges should be significant but not unianimous. However, by allowing the judges to create these cool badges, they get a free vote, so is it fair? Judges, PM the opinions.

i think that everyone that has folded should have a vote in such a competition. makes it less of an inner clique of the few, and more of a united effort.

Entry #1:
Full Size:
4 Different Badges for 4 Different Levels
Badge Actual Size:

Each badge increases in one way or another as the amount of WU's change

EDIT: Small tweaks to make it more easily read at smaller size

Good point. Consider it done.

OK so everyone on the team votes.

Just a point I'd like to make here, it is best to keep the number of colours down when designing the badge.

The cheapest solution would use three colours in total, one background colour and two others. Simple designs work best and remember that a standard case badge is only 1" x 1" or 25mm x 25mm so don't make the print too small or poor old blind buggers like me won't be able to read it.

It may be necessary to reduce "motherboards.org" down to "mb's.org" or "M'boards.org" or something similar.

I think it is best to allow all team members to vote on which badge they think is best and if there is a draw joshvee has the casting vote.
