I had to open port 8080 behind my sonicwall firewall to my 1st machine at work. I have another machine though that I want to fold on so I'm wondering if I can set it up. Anyone have experience with this? Version 6.2 console only.

Port 8080 is a "common" port that is utilized for local communications. It can also serve as a 'gateway' for external communications. Normally, it is locked down by the Firewall. The F@H transmissions do employ that port generally, with security restrictions.
There are many links if you Google for port 8080.
Here is one concerning XP and port allowances.
If the port is allowed by your security programming, then the F@H process should have no problems. But if the OS security features have a blanket lockdown, you will need to modify the restrictions.

hmm I don't think there will be any problems. We never use port 8080 for anything since it is so common, so opening it in the firewall won't be any amount of security risk.
