Is Pete on vacation?

Postby Myth » Sat Mar 15, 2008 9:39 am

I've been wondering if Pete is on vacation. Does anyone know? I've noticed that he hasn't turned in any WU's in several days. Is everything OK?

Most of the UK has experienced some very heavy winds recently, at its peak I've heard 80MPH was recorded recently. Nothing compared to some other parts of the world I'm sure, but for the UK it's bad enough.

So, maybe wind damage has caused problems or maybe he is just busy. :)

Hey, Pete!
Good to see you are still with us!!

Yes, guess times are tough all around. "Over here", there is a lot of jabber about the Wall Street firm that went down.. Bear Stearns.
(News Item: Story: If interested..)
Times are tough all about our World.. due to high energy prices. There will be a lot of businesses folding because they can't make a go of it. Hopefully, the rest of us can plan a way around this looming calamity.

Unfortunately, I had no prior warning that my ISP was going under. The first thing I knew was when a message came up saying that BT had ceased my connection and that I would not be able to navigate beyond that page. I was however given the option to generate a MAC so that I could arrange another ISP to take over my connection. At least I'm back up and running now :)

Glad to see you back Pete.

There was a company around here that did that exact thing a year or so ago. No warning... just closed their doors and shut everything down. Their customers had no idea what was going on. They had to contact various news stations to get some answers. That company got into a LOT of trouble from the feds. Had to do with taking $ and not providing a service and not refunding it.
