Watch out for P3906 and P3907

Postby Pette Broad » Thu Jan 17, 2008 6:22 am

If anyone is running with Big WU's and the -advmethods flag then you might pickup a P3906. The batch of these now being sent out will send an error message to your desktop and they'll just sit there doing nothing until you clear the error.

I see that P3907 is also a similar WU.
Have had P3905 and P3908 work with no errors.
Will see if I get one of those, what happens.
Have had some "large" WUs in excess of 20 Mb. send-backs. They had no problems.

Yes, the units are very similar but so far there have been no problems. I've also run quite a number of P3906 without problem, but it looks like the ones that are being generated today (Gen 1) have a major problem.

P3906 has now been pulled from Stanfords servers until they figure out what's gone wrong.

No panic, Stanford have now fixed the problem. These are really productive units BTW, not that far short of SMP in terms of PPD. Lets hope there's plenty more of them :)

You're not kidding. This thing is showing 700 PPD in FAHMon. It's not finished yet - 2 hours left, so let's hope it succeeds :D

WTF? :?

I posted yesterday saying I was getting over 700 PPD, and the current 3907 only had 2 hours left. Well it's still going!
