Hope this is in the appropriate thread, but can anyone tell me where i can find a really comprehensive guide to "backing up" copies of my games onto cd? i have a 52,24,52 cd-rw and clonyxxl and nero burning rom- but i only just got it and i haven't got a danny le rue how to use it!! (sorry, thats cockney rhyming for "haven't a clue")...

well if you are trying to copy a SafeDisc protected game, the only software that CAN *not always* copy it is one that supports RAW to RAW reading/writing, which to my knowledge the only one that does this is CloneCD. Check out www.gamecopyworld.com for information on the protection scheme of your game, as most of the games you copy will need a Fixed .exe to run properly (because the fixed .exe will remember CD authentification).

Loki, open up Nero and using the wizard, give "Copy a CD" a butchers. :wink:
If that doesn't do the trick, then CloneCD would be my next suggestion as well.

If you are still having problems after using Clone CD then give 'Blind Read/Write Suite' a try.
