Well Doc it's been what, 2 months since you've posted here?

Site looks great, quite informative in that which is covered, but it just doesn't have the manpower to cover all current games and hardware like some other sites. Possibly when it has matured and is more popular, you can add a feature for visitors to submit their own opinions of games in a subsection to the Staff's reviews, kind of like Amazon.com. That's just what I think is missing in its current stage though: variety.
It looks great though and reeks of Style (and something else I can't quite put my finger on), and Damn that's a nice selection of downloads!

The fact that it offers a good selection of new game demo's, with out the pesky overbearing popup advertisment of almost any other site, makes this site stand out above the rest.

It looks good too. Didn't have time to read through the reviews and see if the writers are agreeable and have good views on the games/hardware or not, but from just skimming over it and lookin at the download section, i allready added it to my favorites and plan to come back.

Until recently I did not know that "pyre" was a true dictionary-defined word. I don't know, but the literal title of your site now has a negative connotation in my mind and doesn't seem to literally have any correlation with its subject matter either. Was this intentional, and did you know about it beforehand? Of course it does make the "what's on fyre" image much more enjoyable, intentional or not. Here are the meanings of the site's title, "Game" and "Pyre":

Game - An activity providing entertainment or amusement; a pastime

  Pyre - A heap of combustibles for burning a corpse as a funeral rite

Peter I am going to burn you you little rat bastard!!! DOC 8O 8O 8O
Maybe I'm an idiot, but I thought the title of the site was meant to be a combination of Game and Empire. I thought it was supposed to be a happy place. I don't think pyres and games go well together, though it's a matter of what you get more enjoyment out of. It seems that one thing I said it was reeking of last time was, surprisingly, burnt video games :?: :?:

I would have posted this on the forum in Gamepyre, but the bandwidth there seems a bit bogged down

Funny, the guy named Gamepyrate, doesn't like Gamepyre... :P :P

Pyre in the thesaurus:
blaze, bonfire, camfire, charring, coals, combustion, conflagration, devouring, element, embers, flames, flare, glow, hearth, heat, holocaust, hot spot, incandescence, inferno, luminosity, oxidation, phlogiston, pyre, rapid oxidation, scintillation, scorching, searing, sparks, tinder, warmth
Concept: Burning

Gamephlogiston just doesn't roll off the tongue as well

The Doors on Pyre:
The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre

Come on, baby, light my fire

I can write like Doc, too!

I think of a pyre as a bonfire o' death. Kinda makes me think that's where games go to die.

I'm not a gamer so gaming sites don't interest me in the least, but anyway that's what crosses my mind when I see the name Gamepyre.
