any cs 1.6 players here?

my old "often-overheated" computer finally died. and i am about to build a new computer. This time with the right components to finally allow me to showcase my talent without lagging int he server lol

Any tips on making cs 1.6 smoother? fps wise? how about game setup?

by the way, any east coast cs 1.6 players here?
i play on vertex, sm, csgoodies alot :)

i used to play competitively in CAL back in my college days...

now my friends and i have moved on to CS:Source - it took a while, but i think i'm a convert. 1.6 was definitely a favorite of mine (without any of the riot shield garbage), much prefered to any of the other HL mod offerings.

i haven't started up 1.6 in probably 2 or 3 years though.

from my memory, making sure your rates are set to the highest possible/allowable will increase your ability to register and get updates from the server - i.e. player locations on the map, which should help with your shot registration.

this overview is actually pretty exhaustive: ... 6-net.html

unfortuantely, we've recently been getting into the new battlefield, bad company 2. haven't had much time to set aside from everything else to be playing both games.
