Check out Aces High. Its a very good on-line game. Lot of folks there from the vaunted Air Warrior game.

Crazy Horse, The only Flight sim worth the money is IL2 Sturmovik. Its flight model and damage model are second to none and the graphics are insane. They have an incredible following with hundreds of people online every night with many servers to join. You can play through the UBI.com servers or down load Hyperlobby from hyperfighter.net.
There are about 100mb of add-ons to download so I hope you have broadband! They are also coming out with another game in FEB 2003 that is supposed to be the mother of all flight sims. They are both WW2 games.
The thing about these other games mentioned here is that they get all hacked up and it turns into a battle of who has the best cheats. Il2 has NO cheats and it will stay that way. If you are serious about learning to fly with a real flight model, check it out! If you just want another arcade game get the others!

I have played Aces High for the trial 2 weeks, and while the graphics wernt the best (which is a good thing, my comuter doesn't have a graphics card) it was very exciting. The game also rarly lags, and the people playing are very nice. www.flyaceshigh.com

Hi, first post for me here.

I must say that IL2 is probably the best flight sim out there. It's great fun, and although the campaigne isn't dynamic, there is a few things that you can download that will make campaigns for you. The mission editor is fantastic too, and easy to use.

I heartily endorse IL2, and plan on buying Forgotten Battles when it comes out. Oleg Maddox and his crew are totally behind their product, and it worked right out of the box. Here are some user reviews at Amazon:

World War 2 Online is alot of fun. The airwar is, only because you can go down under the clouds at your own liesure and strafe guys fighting on the ground.hehe. But the game is a serouis system hogger. You need a good 512mb RAM to fly with good FPS. And a good 64mb VC. Probably the most resource demanding game out there. My old 64mb GF3 could only get me 10 fps constant, and it would dip to 1 or 2 in area's with heavy combat (cities). MY Ti4200 is alot better tho.

That game should be used in benchmarking.
