Command and Conquer series any good?

Postby hunter1801 » Mon Dec 03, 2007 4:42 pm

I recently played the demo for the latest C&C at my work, and it looked pretty interesting. Anyone have suggestions on which one I should try out (if any)? The only RTS games Ive played are the Warcraft series, Starcraft, and Age of Empires. Those were all really fun, but I don't know how C&C would compare.

I always played CnC types, and never got into Starcraft, etc. I can tell you I've loved CnC since Red Alert and played all of them, except the latest.

I hear a lot of mixed reviews. A lot of people stopped liking it after EA took over. The new one looks good, but if I get that I will wait till they release the Kane edition. I've heard good things about Generals too. Just don't know which one to try first.

Edit: Ignore then Kain edition comment, I don't know what year were in lol.

I don't know about "stopped liking it", but definitely lost something after Westwood studios went out of the picture. It also gained a lot of cool features and technology, but IMO the original was incredible. The following games definitely added a lot, but lost a certain something too. Doesn't mean they weren't fun though, and probably more fun even than the games you mentioned. I did really like the latest installment too, very fun.

ohhhh, I wonder if it has all the original music tracks? That would be sweet! "Fight, win, prevail!"

C&C is a very good series to play through. Although I never played the original games I did really enjoy C&C Generals. The gameplay was great. IDK I don't really have much time to post about it now but I suggest you at least play Generals.
