hi, i was wondering if anyone could give suggestions for a good free video media player that isn't windows media. i don't like using it.

VLC player is an awesome player

Winamp and BSplayer are good. Here is a whole whack of em. Stay away from Quicktime and Real. There are good alternative players available to play those formats.

Actually, if you download and install mega codec pack, you get everything you need to play every format going including the necessary players (bsplayer and media classic). Works pretty good and its easy to update. It is a 20 mb download however.

I would be careful of multi codec package since they can do more harm than good.
