Adobe Flash is a popular graphics engine, used on most sites. Best to get it direct from www.adobe.com/
Best to set program status on all, so there is not too much "overhead" for when game programs need data freedom.
Win 10 runs more background programming than earlier versions.. maybe 3x as much.
If going with a 64-bit OS version, then 4 GB of system RAM should be sufficient. But a 32-bit OS version can manage only about 3.5 GB system memory total, including any device cards or other features. If a 1 GB video card, then only 2 GB system memory!
F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes!

You don't need all the antivirus as Win10 has its own which updates daily (Windows Defender). I only use Malwarebytes AntiMalware (Premium, yes I paid for a yearly subscription) to catch any thing that Defender may miss...

I don't use Internet Explorer/Edge as it is crap.. Firefox is the main browser I use with an add-on called No Script - No Script is a must (you must be a bit switched on to use it) to stop browser viruses through bad Javascript - It works really well, but as I said you must be switched on to use it or you won't get legit pop ups and other things you may need within a browser window.. For backup I use Chrome and Opera.

I don't use winzip or winrar anymore, but use the free open source 7Zip, which covers most zipped files..

For ISO stuff I use ImgBurn (imageburn).

For a free email client (thats not windows) I use GMail and Thunderbird.

While looking for some other useful programs, I came across this.

Ninite: https://ninite.com/

Does anyone here use it? :? Sounds 2G2BT, so I thought I'd get opinions.

Most of my, if not all of my recent installs ahve been linux of one sort or another (mainly Ubuntu). I do it through the command line which works for me... It looks legit, however, whenever there is 'pro' version it usally means the 'free' version is stuck with ads, or is stripped down and misses out on some useful features! Here is another one -sof2base - which is open source ( ie free and run by volunteers) and you can make a small donation if you so wish...

NOOOO Quicktime!!!!!!

It is no longer supported on windows and has become a MAJOR security hazard now.
We hate rut, but we fear change.
