ATX case & Power Supply Rec?

Postby BIGMAN131307 » Fri Nov 18, 2016 3:59 am

I've had my current case for over 10+ years. I need a change.
It looks similar to this one:

I'm interested in finding a nice ATX Mid-Tower or Cube Case.

no PSU included unless it meets *my needs.
Clean design, no fancy case moldings. Simple box, window(s), lights..
Removable motherboard tray is a plus
Case fans (at least 4) front/back
2-3 External 5.25" Drive Bays
4 Internal 3.5" Drive Bays
Front Ports: USB 3.0, Audio, etc
Steel, Plastic, Metal: No preference
Color: Black, grey, white, nothing to wild.
Price >$200

*Power Supply:
ATX PSU: 850W+ completely Modular
Price>$200

What do you recommend me?

I had a few of those cases a bit back.. All went to scrap heap in the sky, couldn't move them on in the end (great cases though)..

Power supplies, I have used Corsair ones a lot recently and they do the job well.. Stay above 750w and you will be happy.. Go on the components you are fitting, big CPU and a big video card (Nvidia GTX 1060 and above) minimum 750w...

Case, wise, not seen any recently with a removable motherboard tray..

No frills case, I love this, can be a desktop or a tower, PSU goes on the front, fits an ATX , mATX or ITX board, but NOT a full sized ATX board and hard drive space is limited:
Cooler Master RC-361-KKN1 Elite 361

This is my main rig case, not expensive and excellent cooling..

Chieftec Libra

Thi is another favourite of mine which I think is discontinued or updated:

Antec DF-35

Hope this gives you some ideas...

:? Thx, but not quite what I'm looking for. I'd like to get away from that style. A simple boxee clean design, without the fancy moldings.

A side window would be nice to show lights. If it had lighted fan(s) in the front, that would be fine.
The removable motherboard tray is not necessary as long as it was easy to mount.

Case fans (at least 4) front/back
2-3 External 5.25" Drive Bays
4 Internal 3.5" Drive Bays
Front Ports: USB 3.0, Audio, etc - prefer them to be towards the middle of the case bezel.
Steel, Plastic, Metal: No preference
Color: Black, grey, white, nothing to wild.
Price >$200
