 Post subject: I need a new hard drive

Will this HD work on my old motherboard? Is the SATA going to work on all my SATA slots?

WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD1003FZEX

Motherboard is a EVGA 132-CK-NF78 nForce 780i SLI.

That motherboard model is rated as having SATA 2 standards. The drive is rated as newer.
Performance will not be optimal, but the drive should be configurable to an older standard.
The BIOS may not accept the full capacity of the drive, unless partitioned within its limits.
