Need a computer guru's option please

Postby NTA » Tue Jun 02, 2015 7:31 pm

-Need something to stream / cast to Ustream, Youtube, or where ever I choose. Maybe even stream to 3 or more places at once.

-Need to be able to open and view a dozen streams while streaming.

-Will have separate external sound board/mixer >> Mackie ProFX16: Compact effects mixer with USB and Sound Blaster X Fi USB sound card

-Will need to be able to run 4 or more monitors.

-Will be running Windows OS 64bit

-I would like it simple, no crashing, no over clocking, etc. - Just stable and run smooth.

-I am ordering the parts and having a neighbor help put together.

-I am thinking I need all ATX form factor.

-Need a case that has good air flow and room to work in. Looks isn't as important. Cheap but good and works.

-I would like to try and stay around the $1200 mark for the PC / computer / box / case if possible.

I already have this video card in my possession so I want to try and build around it if possible. >>

but looks like the first image on this page >>

I think its a PCI Express 3.0 6pin power??

These are some items I have selected that appears to work together. Am I on the right path?

Any thing else I over looked?

And please post anything else I may have over looked. I just mainly want to get the computer built then I can add my peripherals after I see how much funds I have left.

Questions?

-I was thinking I need a fast HD to read and write to. Thinking SATA III SSD - Is this over kill? Also with the 2.5" form factor, whats the best way to go about mounting this in the standard 3.5" spot? Tray / bracket / or even a hot swap? Fan would be useless on a SSD correct? Also it appears the 5v power cable maybe comes with PSU and SATA cables comes with motherboard correct? Maybe recommend a different cheaper priced HD? Just noticed some cases come with 2.5" bays for drive already.

-Should I use factory CPU heatsink and fan or do I need to upgrade to a better one? Are they a good one for this socket / CPU?

-Whats the recommended thermal paste these days for this CPU?

-If my budget runs low, what can or should I downgrade on? Are there any thing I should take funds from and shift more to another? Do I need to upgrade something? I don't want to bottle neck it because of one or two items.

-I think my video card has the PCI Express 6 pin power connector - will need PSU with same correct?

-Do I need 32GB of RAM or will 16GB work? What are my best options?

-Since using external soundboard, will I need an audio card to go out to sound board or on-board sound fine?

-Do I need any memory cooling fans or will the heatsinks on them be ok?

-That motherboard above has on board video. Will I be able to use the on board to view like web pages and text while using the PCI-Express video card for casting and viewing streams at the same time?

And thanks in advance for any replies or answers to my questions!! It means A LOT! NTA :P

Welcome to Motherboards.org.
Sounds like a semi-commercial venture.
For all your intents of video streaming and site access, check with an attorney as to need to register and incorporate or form an LLC status. And you will need a very wide bandwidth on your Internet connection, minimal a T-1 status.
Your list of parts looks good, but one video card driving four monitors with different images can be taxed. Better to go with two identical cards, but not in SLI or Crossfire mode. Your choice of a PSU should be minimal 1KW, with extra drives and features. And may be better to go with a 1TB hard drive setup, in possibly a RAID mode.
Water cooling of a PC is the most effective way to keep temperatures in a nominal range. As to case fans and venting, plan on more air entering the case than exiting. Best ratio is 1.5:1 input to exhaust. The PSU may be starved for its needed cooling otherwise. You may also want to consider a UPS to keep the system active if a power outage occurs.
Good luck with your venture.
F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes!
