will cpu/heatsink/fan work with motherboard?

Postby ejames82 » Fri Mar 13, 2015 8:15 am

hello,

not long ago I built an awesome z77 computer with the advice of the good people of this site. now I plan to build another. I plan to start small, but upgrade everything about it later when the price of the hardware comes down.

in brief, what I need to know is, will this cpu/heatsink/fan.....
http://www.ebay.com/itm/191534420147?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

work with this motherboard?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Celeron-G ... 25a1f7b5d1

it looks to me like it will, but I like to be sure.
I will keep you informed of my progress just like the last time I received help here.
your advice is appreciated as always.

The CPU is listed in the Asrock compatibility list.. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z77%20Extreme4/?cat=CPU
But not a good note with the motherboard, no statement about being in working condition or any warranty.

hello Karlsweldt,
good to hear from you again.
the person selling the motherboard has 100% and claims that the board is functional. I got outbid anyway, but I'm still interested.
if you see a z77 board that is new that you recommend, I would most appreciate it. I tend to favor tigerdirect and newegg for the value, but I would also consider other sources. the reason I prefer that chipset is the fact my other computer is also a z77 and I still have ram for it that is new. it also seems to be well sought after, which is a pretty good indicator of its quality.
thanks again.
