What is the make and model of your power supply? Are you using any additional case fans?

i had a terrible experience with MSI's Twin Frozr model for their Nvidia 560/560ti.

purely on that alone i would choose ASUS. then i would consider which has a better cooler.

with that in-mind, the twin frozr was designed specifically to have better cooling, and at a low noise level. that was why i wanted it. now, after going through 3 returns on bad cards, i'd rather deal with 2-5c hotter operation and 2-5db of noise. it definitely isn't worth not having a video card for 3 months.
