Hi I have just started to build a PC. It will be a mid range gaming rig. I would like to spend around 100€ for a motherboard and about €200 on the processor. Then I will probably spend about €500 on a graphics card. I just got the case (a NZXT H510).

One site I go on recommends these components:
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
MSI B450 Gaming Plus
AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT

But I have not built a PC with AMD before, only Intel. My last build had these:
Intel Core i5-8400 2,8 GHz LGA1151
MB GIGABYTE Z370 D3 (Z370 S1151 ATX, DDR4)
Zotac GeForce GTX 1070TI 8GG Amp Edition 8GB GDDR5 256 bit

Should I buy this AMD stuff? Or buy similarly priced Intel stuff? Also any recommendations for around those prices?

The basics are:

Ryzen 5 3600
B450 chipset mainboard, depend on your personal preference what brand, from there choose manufacturer tested memory
Radeon RX 5700 XT based card, depend on your personal preference what brand

Get a decent sized, good brand, power supply. Really, do not skimp in that department.

Having seen the recent developments at Intel where they both need to scramble to fix bugs at a level close to the hardware and they seem to have production problems that drive up the prices, yeah, AMD seems to be a good choice right now.

Interesting. Whilst I have owned a number of AMD computers (always laptops) I have only ever built Intel PCs. So this is going to be a new thing for me. I have always been happy with Intel, odd to hear they are having quality issues.

I saw this post too:

Which confirms your recommendation.
