Internet Connection Sharing stopping in system standby (XP)

Postby Pechorin » Wed Oct 02, 2002 10:09 pm

My computer shares a broadband connection with four other computers. When my system goes to standby, ICS no longer operates and my porn addict housemates lose access to the net (puts a damper on thier weeknights  ). I was wondering if this is just inherent to the sytem being in standby and if the only fix is to never let my system rest, or if there is a way to keep ICS up and running while my system sleeps.

Don't let your system go into standby.

Either put down the cash for a router, or don't let the system go into standby. Simple as that. :)
