Windows XP OS with Windows 98 exterior

If I bought the XP version of Windows, could I download a program to make it run with a 98 layout? I've tried using the XP, but it seems so strange compared to my familiarized 98 system. Navigating to me is much easier in the 98 format. Just wondering. Thanks.

You can right click on your start button in XP, go to properties, and set the layout there to look like 98. Then you can right click on My Computer, go to properties, click advanced tab, then performance. Turn everything off, that w/ill give you the regular start button.

Switch Control Panel to Classic View...
Also you can run WIndows XP in performance based mode....which looks exactly like Windows 98,.

Control Panel --> System --> Advanced --> Under Performance click Settings....Click on "Adjust for Best Performance" and click OK...

Should look "normal" now...
