Flexera Software.. Legit and use to make stuff like install shield... It may be a false positive... What does Malwarebytes say about it?

isuspm...

As for the SSD, defragging should be disabled by default from windows 7 upwards due to TRIM.. (I had to enable it on my Macbook with the latest OS 'El Capitan' - shows that Apple haven't really got their act together either...).

Defrag options offer daily, weekly, monthly and a tick box to un check which I guess is means defrag off. I left it at monthly (recommended by Windows) for the time being. As far as Flexera and Malwarebytes is concerned I have not looked closely. The premium version I think is always running in the background and runs checks once in a while. I really didn't dig that deep into the utility, to many things on the front burner at the same time at this end.

I will run a full system check tomorrow and if it returns it I will let you know.

Thanks all .....

Ran Malwarebytes with System Restore disabled. 4 items returned of PUP.optional.webdiscoverbrowser and I deleted them. Nothing about Flexera Software was returned. But I could contact malwarebytes if you think I should. I read the link provided to Malwarebytes Forum ...Part of the install shield. If I delete it will it cause problems with installed programs that used it ??

I do see Flexera listed in the list of Start-Up items.

Looks like you are fine - leave Malwarebytes running at start up.. If you really want try scanning in SAFE MODE (right click windows button, search, type in MSCONFIG, go to boot and chhose SAFE MODE, reboot, run Malwarebytes, then before exiting SAFE MODE, go back to msconfig and enable normal boot) - it is amazing what it picks up!! Don't uninstall the install shield = plethora of problems!
