Anyone have a clue as to what M$ is doing with this update?
these are new files and they didn't exist before on Win7.....

Nothing definitive in that link. Security updates are mandated, but likely "other" update options as to drivers or features may be a result of that update pack.

Well unless one is an MS insider, it is unlikely there will be much insight.. As Karlswelt mentioned there is probably some new roll-out plan for system updates.

It seems to fix a few issues with other updates that were removed after "cleanup your disk" actions (removal of temporary files for updates). There's rumours it has to do with the free upgrade to windows 10 that will be pushed through windows update it seems and heck it may even have to do something with the plan to put windows updates through P2P networks... We'll see...

yah I noticed those files two when I read the KB ARTICLE ATTACHED TO the update..... >_<

SUCH AN UPDATE IS NOT IMPORTANT!!

THEY PULLED THIS SAME sh** WHEN THEY DID THE WHOLE

DRM HELL CALLED "WINDOWS GENUINE ADVANTAGE NOTIFICATION TOOL"

AKA SPYWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


OK XP and Win7 users

which is why I was skepital of that update and choose to hide it 3-5 times it was offered,
but got the update 2nd to last time and updated with it last time... so far I haven't seen any update ads...
