Windows 7 Question

Postby Spark » Tue Jun 07, 2011 3:32 am

Now that Windows 7 has been out for a while, with the first service pack being released as I understand it has been and folks here have been actually using it, my question is:

XP Pro does not alloy the user to password protect an entire folder, just files within it, if it does then I don't know about it. Has anything been done in Windows 7 to change or improve that ??

I know it's kind of extreme, but when I think of Windows Vista I get flash backs to Windows ME and as far as I'm concerned Windows 7 is an improved version of Vista ????

Windows 7 is NOT an improved version of Vista. Parts have been rewritten completely and the UAC is now actually usable.

As far as your question goes:

The more expensive versions of windows 7 seem to have EFS: ... 43778.aspx
but unsure if that is what you want.
