PSU is not a problem, 650 watts corsair hx series.
Iif I clear cmos, should I do this with pci cards and sata cables in place or detached? I f think the latter but just to be sure.

Can keep everything in place when clearing cmos. Procedure is in the manual

Am working on the system now, left one HD in place, cleared CMOS and could change to ACHI settings. One step further again.
