hi

What about Halt On option in the BIOS on my home PC?

Should be enabled on:
Code:
All Errors
No Errors
All. but Keyboard
All, but Diskette
All, but Disk/Key

btw. I have MT63 V1.4 N2801 D33032 mainboard.

Depends on how you intend to start the system. If you choose "no errors", then you could start the system with no keyboard or mouse detected. But you may have a problem when connecting them later. Halting on "all errors" would mean that the POST process will stop if any errors are found, even minor. But having a keyboard connected is still a preferred default for when starting a computer. A mouse present is not a default, but the OS won't be happy!
If the diskette (floppy disk or optical disk) drive is not responding, then you could bypass the error message and continue booting. Not a critical factor. But the hard drive not responding is critical!
The only reason you may want a 'no errors' choice is when the unit is a remote server, rarely attended manually, and restarts itself if power is lost. Or for testing purposes on a normal setup.
