:-| Would resetting my laptop back to factory settings reset the BIOS back?

I don't have anything to really loose on my laptop.

Resetting the BIOS back to 'factory settings' would not cause loss of any data on the system. But all settings would be at default, and may not agree with devices/features present. Whether choosing the 'factory settings' or doing the CLRCMOS process, after that you must go into all BIOS pages and reset your preferences.. and likely the date and time.
