I have a pc where I need to replace the battery. This would not be a problem except that it is not a standard battery. I used some of the tools from the motherboard.org site but got very little information from it.

Here it is:

bios manf: award modular biosv4.15pg
bios id:10/18/96-i430vx-10031996c-00
chipset: intel triton 430vx rev 2
super i/o chip: umc/ite 8669 found@port108h

I have the motherboard manual but it is help at.

Any help would be appreciated.

The motherboard was manufactured by PC Chips, but there are various models using this BIOS string including the M520, M535 and M538. And possibly many more...

In order to narrow down which one, we are going to need a physical description fo the board. Including # of PCI/ISA slots, Chipset, etc...

With reguards to your battery delemma, below is the M535:

You'll notice a black box below the power connector. Inside is the battery for your board. You most likely have something similar on yours, depending on the model.
