Dell MB Help

Postby greyno3 » Mon Jun 17, 2002 4:25 pm

I just got a Dell mainboard and can't ID it. It's a socket 7 with Intel PCI set SB82371SB & FW82439HX. It has Trio64V+, and Crystal CS4236B-KQ chips. It goes up to 233mhz and also has a Lucent parallel tasking 3com chip on the board. It has 1 cache and 4 Dimm slots. I'm looking for a layout and all the info I can. Can anyone ID this thing? The board also says Dell part number DP/N 00054390- 12411- 76S-OSLR. Thanks foe any help,Greg

The closest match that I can find for those specs is the Intel® TC430HX Motherboard.

TC430HX drivers

crystal, not listed, trio 64+, not listed, 3com onboard lan, not listed. If it is an OEM version of the TC430HX they have really rebuilt the thing...

Good work evasive, mine was a mile off.

The S3 Trio was optional on the TC430HX though according to this page:-

http://www.magsys.co.uk/mbs/intelmb.html

Right chipset, it has the cache slot and 4 simm slots, like I said it was the closest that I could find.

Knowing the formfactor would have made a world of difference.

:D Thanks everyone for the help. I should've said the form factor. Evasive got it right. Great work! Is there a manual I can down load to this board? Thanks,Greg

You didn't want to ask that, I am sure.
