Please help identify this motherboard

Postby artflo » Sun Jan 28, 2018 7:33 pm

The motherboard is a mini-itx type,(I assume) because of its small size. The processor is an Intel G840.2 slots of DDr3 ram. Can you please help me identify the model in order for me to download the manual and the specific drivers for this board. Thank you in advance.

BIOS string comes up as an Intel DH61BE or DH61CR which it is not (both are micro ATX boards). It is an embedded/industrial/signage board though with all the white pin ports which are usually COM or used to provided power or signals to flat screens. If you have it powered up and working, the manual won't really be necessary unless you want to use the white ports and require the pinouts. Drivers wise, Windows 7 and upwards 'should' pick all the hardware up - if you use linux, it will pick up all the hardware and just work.
I have been programming on computers since the ZX81.
I am an apprentice trained Electronics Engineer with qualifications to back it up.
I have been repairing computers since 1996.
Yet to some people I still know nothing...

Thank you so much for this information Mr T! Yes I powered it up and I'm using this as of this moment. But I really want to have a manual for this board in order to put the correct pinout. Any site or info for manual of this board will greatly appreciated. :)

Try his link..
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en ... h61be.html
or here..
https://www.intel.com/content/dam/suppo ... Spec08.pdf
99% of all data ports are 'standard' per the ISA rules (Industry Standard Architecture).. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industry_ ... chitecture
However, some manufacturers use the port design 'pinout' differently. If unsure of use, an ohmmeter test from ground to any pin should disclose if 'standard' or 'otherwise'. Do so with no power to the board!!
This site lists almost all port pinouts used with computers.. http://pinouts.ru/

Lots of choices for info, but avoid those "libraries" that want fees or 'members'. And non-authentic sources could be harboring malware.

@artflo,

I'm curious with the ports between the LAN and the audio, what are they?
Does this thing have 2 serial ports next to the VGA port?
I'm not seeing any SATA ports?

From that I suspect this to be ripped out of a kiosk or Point Of Sale (POS) system, that might increase the challenge of finding info a bit. However, I'm willing to give it a shot.

if I had to take a wild guess.. eSATA ports.

From what I can make out from looking at the pic..
VGA (dark blue)
Serial Ports (appears to be 2 side by side) [lighter blue]
4x USB header
2x USB/LAN header
2x eSATA Ports
Audio
