OEM version of a MiTAC board, Compaq name Titan-M

Any bios updates: Compaq. They list something from 1998. Not sure what you are expecting from this 16 year old budget model from Compaq?

Time for a new system... No way you would ever get that thing to run a current OS..

Besides, whatever is available for BIOS updates is minor bug fixes NOT improvements such as increased RAM limits.

This is the only bios upgrade available for this system:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/soft ... 0&sw_lang=

from 1998, 16 years ago.

Reportedly, the maximum DIMM size you can use is 32MB of PC-66 memory which gives a total of 48MB with the onboard 16MB. This is a hard limit.

The chipset is Intel 430VX which has indeed 32MB maximum per DIMM limit.

@Toby: I think I just got some additional info for your Titan-M page

Found another link to specs of that compaq Presario 2240 system.
Quote:
"The Presario 2240 Computer only supports 200MHz AMD K6".

Kind of slow, for any OS newer than Win 95!
