I have a CQ Max Dvr which I need to replace the motherboard and I can not find anything printed on the board to identify which it is.

I do have the following BIOs string.

06/26/03-i845-ITE8702-JL69VC3DC-00

Does anyone know how I can identify it inorder to see if I can find a replacement.

Yep.

What operating system is running in that thing? Custom OS or some sort of embedded windows/linux? You may have a challenge finding something similar...

As long as major chipsets and features are not very different, an upgrade to an i-848P or i-865P model mobo should be compatible.. without causing the OS to go into "EULA" shock. "Good" older socket 478 type mobos are becoming scarce.
