Hello, first post; and I need info on Gigabyte GA-H67M-D2-B3

Colleagues,

This is my first post on this forum but have been a long time reader.

I purchased a Gigabyte GA-H67M-D2-B3 from a website that said it was revision 3. However, I received one marked revision 1.1. I checked in Gigabyte dot com and they only list up to revision 1.1. Only one other website lists another one that says revision 3; the rest of the web is all 1.1. I would trust the information on Gigabyte but sometimes companies are just very slow updating their websites. I have contacted the vendor but they probably won't respond until Monday the earliest. So, in the meantime, my question is, does anyone know in here if there is revision 3 for this board?

Best regards.

Gigabyte lists revisions 1.0 and 1.1.. There is a possibility 3.0 is for OEM use can't find such a revision yet though.

Toby B.,

Thanks for your reply. Don't know why those 2 sites list revision 3 then. I even paid a bit more for what they listed as revision 3 when I could have paid a bit less somewhere else for 1.1 which is what I got.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Regards.

You wanted a rev 3, you got a rev 1.1 which is not what you ordered.

Reseller needs to give you a partial refund if you keep the item or full refund with no restocking fee and pay for the return postage. Getting tired with the companies that are not sending the advertised items.

evasive,

I couldn't agree more with you and I will deal with it and will post their deceiving practices all over the Web. Before I contact them, I want to know if there is a revision 3 for this motherboard because I just don't want to get an older revision. If anyone knows please let me know.

Regards.

Do a Google search on the part number with rev 3 in it, if all you get is the two websites you have a case.

evasive,

I did a Google search on it already, even before posting here, and only 2 sites mention or "sell" revision 3. So, I decided to post here to the experts.

Colleagues,

I spoke to a customer service rep who said there is no revision 3 for this board, that there are only 2 revisions (1.0 and 1.1) and that I have the latest one. Well, we kind of knew that by now, didn't we?

I ask: So, why are you saying on your website that you are selling revision 3?
"Well, it must be a typo", he replies.

To make the story short, he wouldn't give me a credit or anything.

So, be aware of this and be careful of what you buy from xpcgear dot com.

Notice that this is the first time I say the name of the place; I didn't want to do it until I had spoken to them about the issue so that they had a fair shot at explaining/fixing.

Best regards.

XPCgear: stay away for now....

I already suspected it was them. Pity they didn't budge and worse, not corrected the page on their website:

Can you say loosing customers?
