Hi,

I have this motherboard with the a model number labeled "915GV-M3". The original Acer case broke and I am trying to put the system into another old case we have laying around. However, I'm not sure of the pin layout for the motherboard, could someone point me to the right direction to find the correct documentation? Thanks!

Used in the Acer Power SK30 as well. Unable to find a decent manual yet, do you still have the old case or at least the front panel stuff?

That's the problem, I don't have the front end of the case as that was what was damaged. I do have the connector if that helps. Basically the old technician got lazy and just cut the wires and pulled the board and parts out to store. Now they want to put it back into use.

Yeah a picture of the connector could be very helpful, the wiring colors sometimes give away what they were, red being used for the +HDD LED lead, green for the +PWR LED lead, blue for the reset switch, orange for the power switch and black or white for the ground leads. So, go ahead and give a photo/drawing/layout :)

Alright, I don't have a camera handy, so I guess I'll have to go with the wire colors.

There's five wires.
Red White
Orange White
Blue White
Green White
Orange Green

Does this help?

red white = one wire colored red and white or one cable with two wires, one red, one white?

if 5 cables, 10 wires most likely it will be like this:

red +HDD LED
green + PWR LED
blue RESET SW
orange PWR SW
each white is ground, the switches have no + or -

the orange/green = speaker

Let us know if this works. If you get it wrong you cannot damage the board, it will be a matter of trial and error untile we get it right.

Well been busy, but finally got a chance to play around with this again.

I found this, the pins connecting to the
blue/white was power switch
green/white was power LED
red/white was HDD LED
orange/white don't know
orange/green don't know

had to do like you said, just play around until I got it to post.

orange white might be the reset switch.

Orange and White is the ODD light (cd activity).

Green and Orange is the LAN activity light.

This is from the same motherboard labelled 915GV-M3 in an AcerPower FH I am repairing.

Need to replace the motherboard actually..anyone know a good model?

Anything mATX Intel chipset socket775/DDR2 you mean? Unless you find a direct replacement you'll be reinstalling windows anyway.

Can you do me a favour and check what is underneath the littel 915GV-M3 label near the CPU socket?
