It is a relabeled Clevo M760S. The message you get is because you're not providing it with anything bootable in the DVD drive I think. The other option is the harddrive has failed. What are you trying to achieve?

hi evasive, someone asked me to look at their daughters laptop, i was told everything was working but it wouldn't load past getting the account names up, they had no disks so i downloaded a recovery disk from hi-grade, which wouldn't start (since been told that it hasn't worked from 2 weeks old), i took the hdd out and connected it to my comp to scan it, before the scan got to 5 percent it had found 4 trojans plus viruses etc, so i decided to format then clean install, this is when i found out about the dvd drive didn't work, i then tried a flat install but it asks for a driver for the dvd (the dvd drive isn't even recognised in bios), :o , so i'm trying to find the make of board, apperently from what i've read they actually have a pc board in them, but i cant find anything else about, or drivers bios etc.

sorry about the life story, but you did ask :D

If the DVD is not recognized in the bios, the DVD drive is dead. You'll need to find a replacement DVD drive then.
