I voted for the gigabyte mobo. because it's the model I have, and because I know it's a good board. I've heard more people complaining about the Asus board. With the new revision of the GA7VRXP there's hardly any problems and it has plenty of features too. It supports a lot of stuff for a low price. I chose it over a SOYO mobo which had all the same options, but the SOYO was about double the price, and had a lower rating too!

I am a proud owner of the A7V-333X and I have to say it is the best board excluding the Asus A7N8X.

I have no experience with GIGABYTE, but I have used 7 A7V333's and the only problem I had with any of em was caused by a screwdriver slipping off my heatsink clip. My vote will have to go to ASUS by default.

I have a A7V333.......sitting in a box on the shelf. I now use a FIC-865max. I bought the Asus last year with a AMD2000+ and although it all went together well, it seemed to run hot all the time and not nearly as fast as I thought it should. I also seemed a bit quirky...nothing I can explain, just quirky. Finally it started giving me the dreaded "cpu failure" notice and I jumped at the chance to retire it. I heard after I had bought it that the Via chipset wasn't a good match for the AMD processors and I'd have to agree.

just my two cents
