Ok I would buy an MSI board. I have used 6 different board manufactures in my builds MSI=2, ECS=3, Gigabyte=1, Asus=1, Shuttle=1, and Abit=1. The board that gave me the most trouble was the abit SG71 a buget build for folding the Driver CD was scratched and would not auto-load had to use browse and extract the board drivers manually. But the machine is up an folding. Also The brighter the colors the better!!!

Yeah that's a cool color, but the layout is horrible. And the NF7 isn't a looker, but it performs far better.

Either way, this is all moot! You guys haven't seen the new generation of MSI boards coming out eh? Black PCB, just like Abit is doing!

Besides for most of us who spend a lot of time working on computers, looks become unimportant. What IS important is if the layout is good so it's easier to assemble, and if it's stable. Good performance is a plus too.

Yea, MSI red is a horrible color. Who would want a bright red Ferrari when they can have a nice subtle blue Geo :P

The red on MSI boards may be a red, but it's not Ferrari red. More like the dull red you'd find on a beatup 20-year old Pinto. And ABIT's more styling PCB is black, not blue.

I think the NF7 is good lookin! spesh the northbridge fan!

Just put in a blue EL wire and realised they don't match, but nevermind! Got more blue lights to come!!!

As for MSI, I've never used one, but I did want a Neo at one point I saw advertised on a CDR/W box of theirs! But then I came here and the NF7-S does me!

I've figured it out lads...

MSI are crud because thay are in the same league as chaintech! Both companies think that bright (ghastly) colours will attract customers and shoddily put the board itself together!

Gigabyte too, Rob.

And, Coppershirt, you're getting closer. That's similar looking to an ABIT board, just not the tacky socket colors.
