How about supporting yourself. Why are those the most disgusting words. I think what I said was valid.

I am sure people said that about the war in Vietnam as well. Did that make the war right?

As far as I am concerned, the war in Iraq is wrong and time will prove it. It has been over a year, and the WMD's we knew were there have yet to be located. I'm disappointed, because just prior to the invasion Colin Powell stood in front of the UN with a slide show indicating precisely where intelligence said those weapons were. You can't convince me that the sophisticated spy satellites that we employed to photograph those sites suddenly lost track of them.

Too many people are associating Iraq with 9/11 and stereotyping those of the Islamic persuasion.

I'm sure his family and friends would appreciate the compassion.

You know what guys,
The whole purpose of why I posted this here is because I felt strongly about this mans convictions, and I just wanted to make sure everyone recognized this man's sacrifice. I never meant it to be a "pro war, everyone should join the military" type of thing or trying to prove the war is justified. I also realize that every soldier sacrifices alot not just him.

I have come to realize that certain people just want to be jerks and that's fine. I just hope that the sacrifice of EVERYONE who has died in war is not lost.

Thanks for posting this Ish...

It was a nice thought. Too bad it slid far enough on a tangent to get bumped to the Hundred Year War forum.

Thanks again. May he rest in peace.

Religion and War are two subjects that have been tossed around this forum for a while, and every single time these types of discussions come up they turn into pissing matches with people bashing each others' beliefs on the said issue....
