Break into people's houses and then install folding on their computer and find a way to keep it hidden. So if they are computer illiterate, they will never figure out that they've been folding for 33258!

From the FAH site FAQ:

Can I run Folding@Home on a machine I don't own?

Please only run Folding@Home on machines you either own or on which you have the permission of the owner to run our software. Any other use of Folding@Home violates our license agreement (and just isn't a good idea in general).

In the meantime, I'm "bugging" all my software developer buddies...
Even if they dont fold under my name, the least I can get them to do is fold for the team.

Funny thing is, you wouldnt even need to hide the little icon if they were computer illiterate. They either woulnt notice it or would assume it was an important program

Yes, it is a joke. However, what they don't know can't hurt them. Am I right?

What cant hurt them, can hurt you....

If I remember right, there was a guy who was arrested, charged with a felony, and fined something like $500,000 for installing a DC screensaver at his place of work without authorization.

It was big news a couple years ago.
I'll look and see if I can dig up any links.

it's the breaking in and entering part which is the main problem. I haven't touched the legality of installing software without someone's knowledge yet.

Yes I know, but it is only a joke. Besides, a little B and E never hurt anyone.
