I picked a Gigabyte board for this setup, as when I was doing the research beforehand, it got a rather decent writeup, I chased up a few more reviews online, and liked the long list of features it had, so that was primarily my firest reason for purchasing. I am sure there are better boards around but I have had good performance from this one, and it still has plenty of attachments I can add to if I want more addons later (4 more IDE/RAID connectors, connectors for another 4 USB ports, and 2 more PCI slots if I need them (have filled 3, and another is blocked by AGP card).
